App crashes repeatedly when switching between apps; Android suggests clearing cache

The app was crashing every time after switching from another app back to 27Crags. Eventually, the Android system displayed a warning that the app was crashing frequently and suggested clearing its cache. Clearing the cache temporarily resolved the issue, but crashes returned after a while, but much less frequent.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the 27Crags app.

2. Switch to another app (e.g. browser, messages).

3. Return to 27Crags.

4. Observe that the app crashes.

5. Eventually, Android shows a system message suggesting to clear the app cache.
